Utahloy Education Foundation (UEF) is a not-for-profit organisation head-quartered in Hong Kong dedicated to provide a quality, international, English language learning environment to expatriate students.

UEF oversees the operations of two Utahloy International Schools, one in Guangzhou (UISG) and one in Zengcheng (UISZ); as well as China New Horizons (CNH), a visiting school experiential education programme.

To cope with our expanding business, we are now inviting high calibre talents to join our company:


Outdoor Education Facilitator


Contract Period: September to December (Autumn Season)

One week of training will be given to all seasonal staff on the first week of September

Duty and Requirement:

Capable of leading a group for day or overnight activities and taking responsibility for the safety of the participates while engaged in the variety of activities and various outdoor activity environments offered by CNH. Must be competent in delivering and teaching, as assigned, CNH programme, outdoor skill activities and environmental education. Must be able to manage and respond to participants with a pedagogy that is age appropriate to their abilities, needs and cognitive development.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead outdoor, leadership, environmental education programme
  • Delivering the knowledge and technical skills to students and responsible for students' well-being
  • Provides logistical support and school / corporate / event programme in Pak Lap base, Hong Kong and Zengcheng base, China (campsite preparation, food transportation and other programme preparation work)
  • Provide support to the restaurant operations (equipment rental and food transportation)
  • To deliver and maintain high standard of experiential education programme
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in related field
  • Experience working with youth would be an advantage
  • Valid first aid certifications including CPR and AED or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Team player with good communication skills, confident and positive attitude
  • Previous experience working with youth in outdoor settings
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to work independently
  • A willingness to be flexible in regards to situation, working conditions, and working hours
  • Hold at least one of the following qualifications
    • SPA / Rock Climbing certificate or equivalent
    • BCU Level 2
    • Other NGBs will be considered
Work conditions:
  • Shared staff accommodation
  • Meal provided on scheduled work days
  • Stationed in Hong Kong with flexibility to travel to Zengcheng, China for CNH staff meeting and to assist visiting school programmes in ZC
